MY APPROACH TO WORKING WITH CHILDREN

Children LOVE colour and colour is the language of our soul.

THE AURA-SOMA® COLOUR CARE SYSTEM is a self-selective, non-instrusive, natural therapy that is perfectly suited for use with children.

Children are attracted to the beautiful, shimmering Aura-Soma bottles of colour.

The colour combinations your child chooses during a consultation will speak about what is going on for them on the inside, in a way that they may not, as yet, be able to articulate.

THE CONSULTATION PROCESS

1. Parents are welcome to stay in the room with us as the child needs.
2. Depending on the age of the child, I will invite him/her to choose up to 4 bottles they like best.
3. Your child can colour the chosen combinations on a consultation sheet to take home or draw a picture that tells a story about what those colours mean to him/her.
4. I will explore and unfold the colour story of the bottles with your child in an age appropriate way.
5. We will select, with the parents permission, which products will be most beneficial for your child to take home and work with.
6. There will be an opportunity for discussion about the consultation with you, the parent, with possible suggestions for actions that can be taken at home to support your child's wellbeing.

 

CASE STUDY

"My son was seven when I saw Caroline for an Aura Soma consult. He was waking in the night with bad dreams.  He also wet his pants most days and every night.  We were puzzled about the bad dreams and had tried many things for the wetting, all with no success.

The thing that appeals to me about the Aura Soma is that its working with the sub-conscious.  When our son couldnt find the words to explain what was troubling him the colored bottles revealed all to Caroline.

Caroline was able to discover that he was feeling unhappy about an aggressive child in our street making frequent visits to our home.  A description of his dream revealed that there was also some bullying at school.  Caroline was able to enlighten me and give me some practical solutions.  The bullying would be addressed at school and we made a plan in conjunction with our son.  He also had a right to determine who came into our house, instead of there being an open door policy. Stopping computer games two hours before bed was also suggested for our boy and his active imagination. 

Caroline spoke positively to our son about his own inner strength and how when he used the Aura Soma it was like putting a cloak of protection around himself.  She also helped him with some positive affirmations about staying dry. Our son was quite happy with our plan and used the beautiful smelling Aura Soma every day.  I think that as he felt more in control about who was coming into our house that it gave him confidence at school too.
